When I become president, chiefs would be included in the mining license process - Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has said that if he wins the 2018 presidential election, he would modify the Minerals Act.

He emphasized that the Chiefs would be included in the mining licensing procedure before any miner could get a license to operate in a particular region thanks to the proposed modification, which would include their participation.

During his Western Regional campaign visit, Dr. Bawumia made this statement on Thursday when he spoke to the Western Regional House of Chiefs.

He said that one of the main problems confronting the small-scale mining sector is the conventional authorities' lack of interest in mining licenses.

He suggested changing the Minerals Act to include Chiefs in his formalization agenda for the mining business in the event that he was elected president.

"We want to formalize small-scale mining, but without Chiefs' involvement, we cannot succeed," he said. The licensing of miners in their community must include the chiefs. They must participate in the whole procedure. Therefore, in order to do all of this, we must alter the Mining Act as needed. Decentralize the Environmental Protection Agency and the Mineral Commission so that they are located in different areas.

Blogger VS WordPress

Blogger and WordPress are two popular platforms for creating and managing blogs, each with its own set of features, advantages, and disadvantages. Here's a comparison between the two:

Blogger:

Ease of Use: Blogger is known for its simplicity and user-friendly interface, making it an excellent choice for beginners who want to start blogging without dealing with technical complexities.
Free Hosting: Blogger offers free hosting for blogs, which means users don't have to pay for separate hosting services. This can be advantageous for those on a tight budget.
Integration with Google Services: Since Blogger is owned by Google, it seamlessly integrates with other Google services such as Google Analytics, AdSense, and Google Search Console.
Limited Customization: While Blogger provides some customization options, they are relatively limited compared to WordPress. Users have access to a set of templates and can make basic modifications, but they don't have the same level of flexibility as with WordPress.
Support: Blogger has a help center and community forums where users can find answers to their questions and get support, but it may not offer as extensive support resources as WordPress.
WordPress:

Flexibility and Customization: WordPress is highly customizable, with thousands of themes and plugins available to extend its functionality. Users have full control over the design and features of their blogs, making it suitable for a wide range of needs.
Self-Hosted Option: Unlike Blogger, WordPress offers both a hosted option (WordPress.com) and a self-hosted option (WordPress.org). The self-hosted option allows users to have complete control over their blogs, including the choice of hosting provider and customization options.
Community and Support: WordPress has a large and active community of users, developers, and contributors who provide support, documentation, and resources to help users get the most out of the platform.
SEO-Friendly: WordPress is designed with search engine optimization (SEO) in mind, making it easier for users to optimize their blogs for better search engine rankings.
Scalability: WordPress can handle large volumes of content and traffic, making it suitable for both small personal blogs and large corporate websites.
Overall, Blogger may be a better choice for beginners or those looking for a simple and hassle-free blogging platform, while WordPress offers more flexibility, customization options, and scalability for users with more advanced needs. Ultimately, the choice between the two platforms depends on the specific requirements and preferences of the user.
